We Found the Usual Methods Sorely Lacking
Redundant Courses
Most tax training uses the Course Model, which only works well if you’re a newbie. If you haven’t done many S-Corp returns, for example, a course is absolutely the way to go; we recommend it. But after that first time?—taking it again is a terrible idea. Sure, it’ll be updated information, but 95% of it is going to rehash material you already know and waste your time.

Also popular is the Free Lunch Model, though we all know deep-down there’s really no such thing. Seminars by stock brokers or investment advisors end-up mostly being thinly-disguised sales pitches.
